Let your voice be heard at the 2009 Youth leadership Conference. We are inviting all teens/adults to come and expect to have a great time!!!!!!!!
Conference is FREE and Meal is provided. Register today!!!! Conference will be a great place to interact with other teens/adults and also a great place to know what is going on in our community and how you can be involve through various excited opportunities.
Conference begins promptly at 12noon and continues throughout the evening.

Goals/Values: This session will emphasize the importance of setting goals and having values. Participants will engage in dialogue with experts in the field to learn ways of achieving your goals through setting boundaries.
Relationships: So you say you love me? This workshop gives tips of how to have a healthy relationship. Participants will discuss individual expectations of friendships and what each can bring into the relationship.
Moving and Groovin: Can the music I groove to influence me? This session will focus on music and media emphasizing the importance of understanding the lyrics and not just the beat!
Who Stole Your Identity(Self-Image):This class will focus on self image, understanding who you are: building self esteem. Focusing more on strength and less on weakness.
Gang Awareness(youth workers, adults only): This session will focus on how to be aware of signs of a gang; Officers will engage the audience in understanding what to look for and what to do if you think such activity is taking place.
Teen Talk: Teens taking a right stand, making informed choices and wise decisions, will share ways of how to overcome Stereotypes.
Audio-C: Come learn about the impact that underage drinking has on the community as well as developing ways to address this issue. This workshop will engage the audience in dialogue about the myths of taking one sip!
Looking Ahead---Sorting it out(Juniors, Seniors, & parents): How about a scholarship for college? This workshop will give some clarity and information focusing on how to make a college decision and how to find funding for college.
Why Am I so Angry?: Thoughts in my head! I get mad so easily! What do I do? This workshop will help participants understand how to get control of your anger and stay in control. Stop the anger addiction cycle. Learn how to protect yourself, family, and friends.
